Introduction
Calistic ("we", "our", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the Calistic mobile application.
Information We Collect
When you use Calistic, we may collect: your name and email address (when you sign in with Apple or create an account), your Apple user identifier, workout data including exercise type, reps completed, session duration, and cards drawn, your username, country selection, and app usage data such as game mode preferences.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to: provide and maintain the Calistic app experience, track your workout progress and statistics, display your position on the worldwide leaderboard, send weekly challenge notifications (if opted in), improve the app based on usage patterns, and serve personalized advertisements to free-tier users.
Advertising
Calistic displays advertisements to users on the free tier of the app. We use Google AdMob to serve ads. AdMob may collect and use data including your device's advertising identifier (IDFA), device type and model, operating system version, IP address, and general location data to provide relevant advertisements. Calistic Pro subscribers do not see any advertisements. You can opt out of personalized advertising by adjusting your device settings under Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.
Advertising Identifiers and Tracking
We may request access to your device's Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA) through Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework. This identifier is used solely for advertising purposes, including measuring ad performance and serving relevant ads. You can deny this request or revoke access at any time in Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking. If you opt out, you will still see ads, but they will not be personalized to you.
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services: Firebase by Google (authentication, database, and analytics), Google AdMob (advertising), and Apple StoreKit (subscription management). Each of these services has its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review them.
Sign in with Apple
We support Sign in with Apple as our primary authentication method. Apple provides us with a unique identifier and, at your discretion, your name and email address. You may choose to hide your email using Apple's private relay service.
Data Storage
Your workout data and statistics are stored locally on your device and synced securely to our cloud database (Firebase by Google) to power features like the worldwide leaderboard and account persistence. All data is transmitted using industry-standard encryption (TLS/SSL).
Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. Third-party advertising partners (Google AdMob) may collect device identifiers and usage data for ad serving purposes as described in the Advertising section above. We may share anonymized, aggregated data for analytical purposes, but this data cannot be used to identify you personally.
Your Rights
You have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you, request deletion of your account and all associated data (Profile > Account > Delete Account), opt out of personalized advertising (Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking), opt out of notifications at any time through device Settings, and request a copy of your data by contacting us.
Rights for European Users (GDPR)
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you have additional rights under the GDPR including the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing, data portability, and object to processing of your personal data. Rights for California Residents (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, request deletion of your personal information, opt out of the sale of personal information (we do not sell personal information), and not be discriminated against for exercising your privacy rights. Subscriptions
Subscription purchases are processed through Apple's App Store. We do not have access to your payment information. Calistic Pro subscribers enjoy an ad-free experience. Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account. Subscription automatically renews unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage subscriptions in Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions.
Children's Privacy
Calistic is not intended for children under 13 years of age (or 16 in the EEA). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we discover that a child has provided us with personal information, we will promptly delete it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
